In the 3rd minute Flavio Vachon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Lixandro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Iratxo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mariano Lixandro having to make a save. In the 7th minute Flavio Vachon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Lixandro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lixandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Vachon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st match minute, Matorrales FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Brais to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Lixandro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Vachon, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Saxlum's attentive Silverio Dimo managed to snatch the ball when Candido Ulizes made a throw-in in the 30th minute of the game. With a little luck, Matorrales FC's Nunez Ciceron got control of the ball when Moises Txaran tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Anastasio Sotero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Saxlum's Teodosio Itzaina got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute of the match Angelino Firman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mariano Lixandro skillfully saved the ball. Antonio Raphael hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Txaran was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Saxlum booed when Matorrales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Orain didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Agustin Behe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Lixandro made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Anastasio Sotero sent off a good shot on target. Nunez Ciceron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Pinto in the 60th minute of play. Mariano Lixandro was a little too slow when Flavio Vachon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-1. Teodosio Itzaina kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Niceto Iratxo took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Mariano Lixandro to make any attempt to save it. 72 minutes into the match, Saxlum's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Vachon came free, but Mariano Lixandro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anastasio Sotero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Lixandro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Austin in the 77th minute of play forced Matorrales FC's goalkeeper Nunez Ciceron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silverio Dimo during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Saxlum's Silverio Dimo got a free kick in the 81st minute. Anastasio Sotero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mariano Lixandro having to make a save. Matorrales FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ramiro Telmo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Uriel Romelio thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Nunez Ciceron, a very annoying self made goal in the 90th minute which led to 1-2. The supporters of Matorrales FC booed when Saxlum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Txaran didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Matorrales FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
