Spectators: 6672 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1647, VIP seats: 25) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Camilo Garin started the match with the kick off. Club Atletico Tucuman made a substitution. Jesus Lopes replaced Hector Chale. Samuel Cordarell hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Club Atletico Tucuman were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after FC Palermo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matias Aurken took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Matias Aurken got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Armando Saturnin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Armando Saturnin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Garin, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Arturo Honrio hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Club Atletico Tucuman's Camilo Garin managed to work through FC Palermo's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Camilo Garin dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Camilo Garin in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Saturnin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute Jesus Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Saturnin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Cordarell kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. FC Palermo's Patricio Bonadona got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Palermo's Armando Saturnin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Garin in the 36th minute of play. Patricio Bonadona struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Benicio Araoz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Palermo. After 40 minutes, Arturo Honrio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Palermo and the Club Atletico Tucuman players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes FC Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Honrio. Armando Saturnin came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Tucuman's Camilo Garin. But to his dismay, Camilo Garin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

The wind increased when Patricio Bonadona made the kick off in the second half. When Patricio Bonadona came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the FC Palermo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Bonadona couldn't finish the play. After 54 played minutes FC Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Tiso. In the 58th match minute, FC Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Flor to maneuver through the defense. When Patricio Bonadona came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the FC Palermo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Bonadona couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Club Atletico Tucuman getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Matias Aurken hit a great ball. Patricio Bonadona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Club Atletico Tucuman booed when FC Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Tiso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, FC Palermo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Camilo Garin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Arturo Honrio kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Palermo's Armando Saturnin got control of the ball when Camilo Garin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Armando Saturnin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Lopes in the 86th minute of the match. Camilo Garin hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Patricio Bonadona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Club Atletico Tucuman's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
