Godfredo Atarratze stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximino Martxot's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Raimundo Bailina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Godfredo Atarratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Atarratze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Martxot in the 23rd minute of the match. If Maximino Martxot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Berraondo getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Pascual Goito hit a great ball. Godfredo Atarratze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Firmo in the 36th minute of the match. Pascual Goito struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Virgilio Havier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berraondo. With an all-out effort, Real Madrid's Godfredo Atarratze threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximino Martxot, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Virgilio Havier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Bidun in the 77th minute of play. When Maximino Martxot came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Real Madrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximino Martxot couldn't finish the play. After having played for 79 minutes, Francisco Firmo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Firmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Godfredo Atarratze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Martxot, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Pascual Goito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Bidun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Berraondo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Real Madrid's performance. The match ended with a win for Real Madrid.
