The audience thought a goal was coming when Apolo Pelagius got free with Jonas Efren in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Taboada FC's Jonas Efren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Taboada FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Apolo Pelagius managed to get in a good position for a shot. CSyD Flores's supporters rose to their feet, but Apolo Pelagius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Efren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonas Efren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Lux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CSyD Flores's Juan Pablo Carrizo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Olof Pilblad in the 29th minute of play. Apolo Pelagius scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonas Efren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celestino Iago kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. When Per-Olof Pilblad came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Taboada FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Olof Pilblad couldn't finish the play. Celestino Iago hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when German Lux made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Per-Olof Pilblad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Juan Pablo Carrizo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonas Efren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Pelagius, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Per-Olof Pilblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damaso Dubardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Pablo Carrizo having to interfere. CSyD Flores's Juan Pablo Carrizo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save CSyD Flores from getting a goal against them. Honorato Fidencio hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Tadeo Beliran charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Apolo Pelagius kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. The Taboada FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Taboada FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
