An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Oton in the 16th minute of play forced Tucumana AFC's goalkeeper Gaspar Gilabert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aristides Teyo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Gaspar Gilabert made a huge save. In the 20th minute of the match El Equipo de Mostaza got a corner. Tucumana AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roman Eutor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Roman Eutor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tucumana AFC's Gaspar Gilabert did a great save. Everardo Oton spun around in front of the goal 21 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Tucumana AFC's goal. Gaspar Gilabert made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Everardo Oton sent off a good shot on target. Everardo Oton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Gilabert having to interfere. Gaspar Gilabert was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Adolfo Arce capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adolfo Arce really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The supporters of El Equipo de Mostaza booed when Tucumana AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Ulizes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everardo Oton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Tucumana AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Arce came free, but Gaspar Gilabert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Everardo Oton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 67 played minutes, El Equipo de Mostaza's Lucio Beremundo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gaspar Gilabert came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in El Equipo de Mostaza reached it. Everardo Oton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. El Equipo de Mostaza's Everardo Oton got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute Adolfo Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Gilabert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Gilabert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Iyan in the 75th minute of the match. Rodolfo Quilino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Flores in the 77th minute of play. Adolfo Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Gilabert having to interfere. After 89 minutes, Silvio Breogan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tucumana AFC and the El Equipo de Mostaza players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Tucumana AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of El Equipo de Mostaza:s goal. Gaspar Gilabert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Oton, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Everardo Oton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Gilabert having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. El Equipo de Mostaza fully deserved thier win.
