After a rather tough play, Maldonado AFC's Alvaro Irrintzi got a free kick in the 41st minute. 46 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Garci notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Maldonado AFC's Benjamin Lucero. Benjamin Lucero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Arturo Ieltxu made the kick off in the second half. Timote's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
