Celestino Maju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Florencio Bartoleme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, tofiori was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Frisco to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Galo was a little too slow when Teodoro Demesio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-1. Florencio Bartoleme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Mederi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Providencia's Teodoro Demesio got a free kick in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Teodoro Demesio made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Celestino Maju shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Bartoleme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 played minutes tofiori got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Viana. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Demesio in the 66th minute of play forced tofiori's goalkeeper Marcelo Galo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aristides Frisco kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in tofiori's zone, Teodoro Demesio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Galo came out of the goal and Teodoro Demesio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Teodoro Demesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marco Iraido came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Providencia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Iraido couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Celestino Maju sped through Providencia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Florencio Bartoleme.
