The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Cirilo Clodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Montay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arbas Moreno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Fulgencio Montay made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Lomahermocense's Genaro Abastas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fulgencio Montay. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Castaño FC's Natalio Otsando got a free kick in the 20th minute. Fulgencio Montay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Clodio, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Jeronimo Tonete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Gustau in the 24th minute of play forced Lomahermocense's goalkeeper Anastasio Urki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Javier Gustau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Urki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Javier Gustau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castaño FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Bermudo in the 39th minute of play forced Lomahermocense's goalkeeper Anastasio Urki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anastasio Urki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Tonete in the 43rd minute of play. Anastasio Urki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Gustau in the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arbas Moreno made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Castaño FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Txindoki to maneuver through the defense. After 54 minutes of play, Lomahermocense's Genaro Abastas made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fulgencio Montay was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anastasio Urki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Bermudo's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Jeronimo Tonete took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Anastasio Urki to make any attempt to save it. In the 78th minute of the match Castaño FC got a corner. Lomahermocense's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fermin Naldo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Castaño FC's corner Damaso Tome fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anastasio Urki quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Jeronimo Tonete took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Anastasio Urki to make any attempt to save it. Anastasio Urki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Gustau, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Lomahermocense's much stronger midfield.
