Maxi Olivar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maxi Olivar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santos Liberto having to make a save. Santos Liberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Brion in the 10th minute of the match. Maximo Brion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 14 minutes into the match, Maxi Olivar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santos Liberto. Unión FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maxi Olivar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Maximo Brion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 20 minutes of play, Mar del Plata Sharks's Maximo Brion made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santos Liberto was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, Unión FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maxi Olivar came free, but Santos Liberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Atilano Indalecio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Unión FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alonzo Hanot hit a great ball. Eduardo Beilinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Hanot in the 30th minute of play. Israel Orland charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Israel Orland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Unión FC booed when Mar del Plata Sharks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Orland didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mar del Plata Sharks's goalkeeper Eduardo Beilinson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santos Liberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxi Olivar in the 34th minute of the match. If Maxi Olivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Ler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Liberto having to interfere. Santos Liberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxi Olivar in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Bonifacio Xabat made the kick off in the second half. When Maxi Olivar came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Mar del Plata Sharks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxi Olivar couldn't finish the play. Santos Liberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxi Olivar in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Mar del Plata Sharks getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Maxi Olivar hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Moises Firme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Beilinson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Unión FC's zone, Maxi Olivar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Liberto came out of the goal and Maxi Olivar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maxi Olivar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Narciso Baraquiel notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Mar del Plata Sharks's Eduardo Beilinson. Eduardo Beilinson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Santos Liberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxi Olivar in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute of the match, Maximo Brion tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Santos Liberto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 89th minute of the match Mar del Plata Sharks got a corner. Unión FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Erubiel Amaya ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Mar del Plata Sharks's corner Erubiel Amaya fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Santos Liberto quite easily take care of the ball. Maximo Brion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Santos Liberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mar del Plata Sharks were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
