Nemesio Pietro hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Basilio Gai in the 8th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mar del Plata Sharks's Lucio Ler. Cristiano Senna hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Mar del Plata Sharks's Atilano Indalecio got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 20 played minutes Mar del Plata Sharks got a freekick which was hit by Maxi Olivar. Cristiano Senna received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eduardo Beilinson came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristiano Senna slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 24th minute. A collision led to Riders on the Storm getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Edgard Pirmin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mar del Plata Sharks's zone, Aquilino Karmel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Beilinson came out of the goal and Aquilino Karmel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximo Brion kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Nemesio Pietro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eduardo Beilinson, 2-0. Eduardo Beilinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ezequiel Nevada stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Maxi Olivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Mar del Plata Sharks booed when Riders on the Storm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Pietro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Beilinson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nemesio Pietro went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Mar del Plata Sharks's Eduardo Beilinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Pietro in the 71st minute of play. Maxi Olivar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aquilino Karmel scored 4-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Beilinson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 85 minutes of play, Riders on the Storm's Ezequiel Nevada made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Beilinson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Maxi Olivar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mar del Plata Sharks's supporters rose to their feet, but Maxi Olivar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Arano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mar del Plata Sharks players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Riders on the Storm.
