Roberto Neto started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Berrotarán's Dario Estavan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lázaro Tonete. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Horacio Emenon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Horacio Emenon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Emenon in the 20th minute of play forced Deportivo Tacuarendí's goalkeeper Lázaro Tonete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lázaro Tonete took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Emenon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Neto in the 23rd minute of play forced Berrotarán's goalkeeper Douglas Van Goitsenhoven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Narciso Salvator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglas Van Goitsenhoven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Hipolito Ilazki made a precise shot to the right of Douglas Van Goitsenhoven. The supporters of Deportivo Tacuarendí booed when Berrotarán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Estavan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douglas Van Goitsenhoven didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iker Charro went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horacio Emenon to strike the kick off in the second half. If Horacio Emenon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lázaro Tonete took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Gartxot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 66 in the game by Hipolito Ilazki from a close distance when the talented Douglas Van Goitsenhoven managed to make a qualified save. Berrotarán's players were relieved. Lázaro Tonete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Emenon, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Horacio Emenon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berrotarán's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Emenon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lázaro Tonete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Deportivo Tacuarendí's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Emenon came free, but Lázaro Tonete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lázaro Tonete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Emenon, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Tacuarendí's Serafin Quilo got a free kick in the 76th minute. Douglas Van Goitsenhoven was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. 82 minutes into the game, Horacio Emenon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Lázaro Tonete was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dario Estavan fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 94th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. If Horacio Emenon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Berrotarán players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
