Carmelo Lixandro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vilgot Alberg went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Sten Ånger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Lixandro having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Vilgot Alberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lugones AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilgot Alberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmelo Lixandro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the game, Casimiro Perico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lugones AFC the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casimiro Perico to maneuver through the defense. When Sten Ånger came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Lugones AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sten Ånger couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Claus in the 36th minute of play forced Lugones AFC's goalkeeper Adriana Bero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Barcelona got a corner. Lugones AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Victorino Gumaro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice moves Iker Urbasa could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Adriana Bero however easily saved by the left post. Barcelona's Carmelo Lixandro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilgot Alberg in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute of the match Lugones AFC got a corner. Barcelona's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Barcelona's Carmelo Lixandro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilgot Alberg in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Lugones AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Claus was the one to do the kick off. Deyan Vetzkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Lixandro having to interfere. Vilgot Alberg scored 0-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carmelo Lixandro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sten Ånger got free with Carmelo Lixandro in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barcelona's goalkeeper Carmelo Lixandro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Vilgot Alberg fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Carmelo Lixandro, passed just outside the right post. Sten Ånger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carmelo Lixandro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Vilgot Alberg in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Lugones AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilgot Alberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Barcelona's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sten Ånger fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vilgot Alberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Carmelo Lixandro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Adriana Bero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Urbasa in the 89th minute of the match. After 93 minutes of play, Barcelona's Iker Urbasa made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adriana Bero was left in no man's land by his defense there! 96 minutes into the match, Vilgot Alberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carmelo Lixandro. Barcelona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vilgot Alberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Lugones AFC played a much better game than Barcelona and deserved their victory. The Barcelona players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
