The supporters of Los Gauchos FC booed when Hornillos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Cordarin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelio Sal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute Victoriano Papo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Sal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Francis in the 8th minute of play forced Los Gauchos FC's goalkeeper Aurelio Sal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Los Gauchos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Papo came free, but Aurelio Sal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Victoriano Papo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Sal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hornillos AFC's Placido Quexal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Hornillos AFC from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, Victoriano Papo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Sal. Los Gauchos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victoriano Papo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Aurelio Sal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Gauchos FC's Aurelio Sal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Papo in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Victoriano Papo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Aurelio Sal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 38 played minutes Los Gauchos FC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Cordario. After 41 minutes of play, Hornillos AFC's Victoriano Papo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Sal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leopoldo Cordario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Placido Quexal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rene Francis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Sal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Indar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Rene Francis took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Aurelio Sal to make any attempt to save it. Mauricio Ilazki's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aurelio Sal firmly grabbed it by the left post. Aurelio Sal came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hornillos AFC's Rene Francis. But to his dismay, Rene Francis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Aurelio Sal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 played minutes Hornillos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rene Francis. The supporters of Hornillos AFC booed when Los Gauchos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Luzaide didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Los Gauchos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Indar came free, but Aurelio Sal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 82 minutes into the game, when Rene Tohias put in a rough tackle. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Los Gauchos FC! When the match had been going on for 83 minutes, Hornillos AFC's Victoriano Papo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aurelio Sal. Placido Quexal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Txindoki in the 88th minute of the match. Placido Quexal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro George in the 91st minute of play. Fernando Txindoki scored 2-7 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Placido Quexal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Los Gauchos FC defense, Mauricio Ilazki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelio Sal. The Los Gauchos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelio Sal should have stopped the shot. Hornillos AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
