Ismael Abadia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Odon having to interfere. Jimeno George took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Odon. Benito Odon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santiago Hechter during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had been going on for 9 minutes, UT Baboil's Ovidio Cuarto got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Anacleto Garin. The supporters of UT Baboil booed when Atletico de Rafaela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Innocenzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Dominguez took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Odon. Benito Odon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When Jimeno George came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Atletico de Rafaela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimeno George couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, UT Baboil's Melquiades Alonso got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Anibal Dominguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Abadia might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Odon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ismael Abadia ran back to his position shaking his head. Prospero Rios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute, Adolfo Harkaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Anibal Dominguez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Odon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anibal Dominguez to make the kick off. Anacleto Garin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Nerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Odon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anibal Dominguez in the 68th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Robustiano Diaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico de Rafaela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UT Baboil the free kick. The supporters of UT Baboil booed when Atletico de Rafaela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Diaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rene Nerio ran back to his position shaking his head. Anacleto Garin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Rios, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. A collision led to UT Baboil getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Adolfo Harkaitz hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Atletico de Rafaela left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than UT Baboil.
