Claudio Erasto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amancio Tab read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Amancio Tab showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victoriano Remir in the 29th minute of the match. Desiderio Bartolome received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Amancio Tab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38thth minute of the game Evelio Seguinus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saladillo AFC's Tomás Calvino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Agustin Jaizki fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quebrada's protests and gave Agustin Jaizki a yellow card for diving instead. Tomás Calvino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santiago Chayo charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santiago Chayo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Saladillo AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Santiago Chayo hit a great ball. Evelio Seguinus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Tomás Calvino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Agustin Jaizki hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 75 minutes of play, Saladillo AFC's Desiderio Bartolome made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amancio Tab was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute, Severino Raphael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Desiderio Bartolome's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amancio Tab was relentless in the 84th minute of the game.
