Spectators: 7115 (Terracing: 5338, Seating: 1636, VIP seats: 141) racing club's Tadeo Lia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Alvaro Argi fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tapebicuá FC's protests and gave Alvaro Argi a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 minutes, Tadeo Lia made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Tapebicuá FC's Mariano Millrick tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tadeo Lia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 17th play minutes Tadeo Lia shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Mariano Millrick and just under the crossbar into goal. Mariano Millrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Lia, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Argi in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvestre Clementi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes into the match, Tapebicuá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Romo came free, but Mariano Millrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, racing club's Tadeo Lia made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariano Millrick was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute, Tadeo Lia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to racing club getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jairo Cortez hit a great ball. In the 35th match minute, racing club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Lia to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Baltasar Olayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Omero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvestre Clementi. racing club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermengildo Omero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Alvaro Argi scored 2-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvestre Clementi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alvaro Argi was the one to do the kick off. Tadeo Lia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Mariano Millrick made a huge save. 57 minutes into the match, Tapebicuá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Romo came free, but Mariano Millrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Adan Gorri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulgencio Romo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Mariano Millrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Millrick made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Tadeo Lia sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the match, Eusébio Lago notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Tapebicuá FC's Mariano Millrick. Mariano Millrick was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tadeo Lia made a great header on racing club's corner, it was just that Tapebicuá FC's Mariano Millrick managed to reach the ball for a save. Aldo Tirso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mariano Millrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Romo in the 90th minute of play. When Baltasar Olayo came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Tapebicuá FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltasar Olayo couldn't finish the play. racing club played a much better game than Tapebicuá FC and deserved their victory. The Tapebicuá FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
