In the 6th minute, Serafin Vidal made a precise shot to the right of Tobias Eli. Tapalquén's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Emiliano Mingo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Arman having to interfere. A collision led to Club Atletico Zelaya getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Daniel Mateus hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Gregorio Edwardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Zelaya's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregorio Edwardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Eli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gregorio Edwardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atletico Zelaya's Franco Arman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Mingo in the 25th minute of play. Emiliano Mingo's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Zelaya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emiliano Mingo helped the player get up and apologised. Emiliano Mingo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Jesus Guib hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Jesus Guib hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Zelaya's zone, Arnoldo Balesio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Arman came out of the goal and Arnoldo Balesio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Club Atletico Zelaya defense, Ladislao Mambru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Arman. The Club Atletico Zelaya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Arman should have stopped the shot. With his leg Tobias Eli managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Club Atletico Zelaya's Serafin Vidal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafin Vidal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Romeo Veronica got his second yellow card in the match during the 52nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Tapalquén's Romeo Veronica got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafin Vidal in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tobias Eli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Club Atletico Zelaya's Franco Arman got control of the ball when Ladislao Mambru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tapalquén's Arnoldo Balesio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Franco Arman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 61st minute, Jesus Guib hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 62 minutes, Ladislao Mambru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapalquén's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ladislao Mambru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club Atletico Zelaya's Franco Arman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico Zelaya from getting a goal against them. In the 75th match minute, Tapalquén was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao Mambru to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Serafin Vidal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico Zelaya fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 84th minute of the match, Ladislao Mambru got a very nice opportunity to score, but Franco Arman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Emiliano Mingo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Franco Arman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Atletico Zelaya's Alberto Montrelle was substituted for Gualterio Lain. If Serafin Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Ladislao Mambru got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Tapalquén's Eduardo Serapio got a free kick in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Atletico Zelaya had played much better football throughout.
