Barcelona FC's Hermengildo Galtero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Odol in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, C.A Boca Juniors's Romulo Che got control of the ball when Victor Romano tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Barcelona FC's Ciro Padro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Romulo Che. That made the score 2-0 after 19 minutes of play. Amadeo Santikurtz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hermengildo Galtero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Hermengildo Galtero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Odol, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Hermengildo Galtero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeo Santikurtz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, C.A Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Romulo Che had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Romano. Amadeo Santikurtz struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Hermengildo Galtero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A Boca Juniors. Hermengildo Galtero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Higinio Ado went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 40 minutes into the match, Amadeo Santikurtz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermengildo Galtero. Barcelona FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeo Santikurtz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The wind increased when Higinio Ado made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Barcelona FC's zone, Felipe Charro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermengildo Galtero came out of the goal and Felipe Charro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Petri's late challenge caught a C.A Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolando Petri helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Barcelona FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Rolando Petri hit a great ball. In the 54th match minute, Barcelona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafino Lope to maneuver through the defense. Higinio Ado made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 56thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Hermengildo Galtero would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Barcelona FC's Hermengildo Galtero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Odol in the 57th minute of play. If Higinio Ado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Ado in the 67th minute of play forced Barcelona FC's goalkeeper Hermengildo Galtero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Higinio Ado in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermengildo Galtero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Higinio Ado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hermengildo Galtero was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Hermengildo Galtero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Presebal in the 74th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Jorge Odol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermengildo Galtero. Barcelona FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Odol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. When Ramiro Evarado fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A Boca Juniors's protests and gave Ramiro Evarado a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C.A Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ramiro Evarado hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Barcelona FC's Victor Romano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of C.A Boca Juniors booed when Barcelona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Sedeni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hermengildo Galtero was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Higinio Ado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 88 minute of play. Barcelona FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Amadeo Santikurtz scored to the left of an out of position Hermengildo Galtero, making the score, 2-6. C.A Boca Juniors played a much better game than Barcelona FC and deserved their victory. The Barcelona FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
