When Tobias Valerio came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Matancilla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Valerio couldn't finish the play. Cesar Nerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the match, RACING S.G.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Nerio came free, but Jonas Berto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobias Valerio spun around in front of the goal 10 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of RACING S.G.'s goal. Octavio Paulin's late challenge caught a Matancilla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Paulin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, RACING S.G. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Paulin to maneuver through the defense. If Cesar Nerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th match minute, Matancilla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Valerio to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in RACING S.G.'s zone, Cesar Nerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Berto came out of the goal and Cesar Nerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tobias Valerio in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Berto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cesar Nerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tobias Valerio in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Constantino Santxol kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 33 played minutes RACING S.G. got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Nazario. Jonas Berto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tobias Valerio's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, RACING S.G.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Nerio came free, but Jonas Berto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Gerardo Jurgi managed to get in a good position for a shot. RACING S.G.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Jurgi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Conrao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tobias Valerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jonas Berto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Israel Abaunza made a kick off. Cesar Nerio took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonas Berto. Jonas Berto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Gerardo Jurgi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Evelio Hartz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when RACING S.G.'s Israel Abaunza fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Israel Abaunza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobias Valerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Berto having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Israel Abaunza notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Matancilla FC's Leopoldo Conrao. Leopoldo Conrao was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd match minute, Matancilla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Martinez to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Abaunza in the 94th minute of play forced Matancilla FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Conrao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Matancilla FC's zone, Gerardo Jurgi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Conrao came out of the goal and Gerardo Jurgi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Matancilla FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than RACING S.G..
