Spectators: 7232 (Terracing: 5426, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Börje Gustafsson started the match with the kick off. Geronimo Jaizki was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ariel Urdaspal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. In the 8th minute, Ariel Urdaspal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Escamosos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 27 minutes in the game, Lino Dolfos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Geronimo Jaizki having to interfere. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind PASIONTOMBINA's goalkeeper Geronimo Jaizki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lino Dolfos struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Geronimo Jaizki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Escamosos. Ariel Urdaspal might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geronimo Jaizki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ariel Urdaspal ran back to his position shaking his head. After 44 played minutes PASIONTOMBINA got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Cheche. After 45 played minutes, Escamosos's Elvio Arixo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geronimo Jaizki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Escamosos reached it. In the 47th minute Börje Gustafsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Lizardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lino Dolfos to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Escamosos's Ariel Urdaspal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geronimo Jaizki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 61 minutes of play, Escamosos's Ariel Urdaspal made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geronimo Jaizki was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Vermudo got free with Gaston Lizardi in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gerard Pike fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Escamosos's protests and gave Gerard Pike a yellow card for diving instead. Gerard Pike kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of PASIONTOMBINA booed when Escamosos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Shepherd didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Lino Dolfos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escamosos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Dolfos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Armando Vermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Geronimo Jaizki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Urdaspal, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Geronimo Jaizki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Urdaspal in the 89th minute of play. PASIONTOMBINA's Geronimo Jaizki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Urdaspal in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute Rodrigo Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Lizardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ariel Urdaspal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escamosos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Urdaspal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geronimo Jaizki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. PASIONTOMBINA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
