With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Fernendo in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florian Bialakowski saved Newells Old Boys from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Ralondo in the 63rd minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Florian Bialakowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Florian Bialakowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Astor Bingen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The Newells Old Boys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florian Bialakowski should have stopped the shot.
