In the 3rd minute of the game Jacobo Dominguez made a throw-in which Jimeno Santo played forward. Jimeno Santo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Martin Roano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Santo in the 12th minute of play forced La Fragata's goalkeeper Martin Roano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Fragata's Martin Roano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Santo in the 12th minute of play. Maximo Hori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Dionisio Gaspard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 played minutes La Fragata got a freekick which was hit by Donovan Quinn. Martin Roano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Martin Roano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Firmin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Firmin took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Roano. Martin Roano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 35 minutes into the game, Vladimiro Inautzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Martin Roano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Iguana F.C were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 73rd minute Donovan Quinn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Gaspard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iguana F.C's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
