The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leonides Tonio's late challenge caught a Manchester City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonides Tonio helped the player get up and apologised. Leonides Tonio kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute of the match Adan Stephen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Virgilio Ekaitz skillfully saved the ball. Inocencio Gorka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aaron Johans in the 40th minute. 46 minutes into the match, FORTIN FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Tallia came free, but Virgilio Ekaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute Robustiano Tallia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Ekaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robustiano Tallia to make the kick off.
