In the 5thth minute of the game Nicolas Rey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Persépolis Aqueménida FC's Ezequiel Medardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 6th minute, Nicolas Rey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nicolas Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Medardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Rey in the 14th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Persépolis Aqueménida FC got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Nel. In the 17th minute of the match Maximo Lopes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ezequiel Medardo skillfully saved the ball. Nicolas Rey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ezequiel Medardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. If Nicolas Rey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Medardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vladimiro Goiz's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute of the match, Teodoro Lopes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dario Eutropio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 33rd minute, Boca Juniors's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Valentin Cordarrol fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ezequiel Medardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Rey in the 35th minute of the match. Nicolas Rey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Medardo having to interfere. Ezequiel Medardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Goiz in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Persépolis Aqueménida FC got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Nel. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Nicolas Rey made the kick off in the second half. Boca Juniors's Nicolas Rey got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute Nicolas Rey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Medardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Cordarrol in the 64th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Dario Eutropio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dario Eutropio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Lopes in the 70th minute of play. Nicolas Rey struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Ezequiel Medardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. Dario Eutropio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Persépolis Aqueménida FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Rey came free, but Ezequiel Medardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boca Juniors's Dario Eutropio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Lopes in the 85th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Zacarias Leocadio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Persépolis Aqueménida FC and the Boca Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dario Eutropio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Leocadio in the 93rd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
