The long shot by Sergio Ferrando in the 26th minute really tested Rodrigo Mon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ricardo Aurre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Isidoro Harriet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee showed Venancio Guillelmo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Canalla de Rosario booed when BOSTERITA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Guillelmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidoro Harriet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ksawery Sliwinski in the 41st minute of play. Rodrigo Mon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Froilan Quexal in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute, Ricardo Aurre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Aurre to make the kick off. Gustavo Lizar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Harriet having to interfere. Eloy Mero's late challenge caught a Canalla de Rosario's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eloy Mero helped the player get up and apologised. Ksawery Sliwinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ksawery Sliwinski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Isidoro Harriet came out and tried to block the shot, but Ksawery Sliwinski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 65th minute. When Gustavo Lizar fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canalla de Rosario's protests and gave Gustavo Lizar a yellow card for diving instead. Gustavo Lizar hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Canalla de Rosario's Ksawery Sliwinski got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Eloy Mero made a precise shot to the right of Rodrigo Mon. Canalla de Rosario's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2.
