Spectators: 7174 (Terracing: 5382, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) Nestor Sotero started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Nestor Sotero came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Marines FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Sotero couldn't finish the play. In the 6th minute Nestor Sotero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Rioja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Marines FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Flor came free, but Aldo Garin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Garin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Atarratze in the 14th minute of the match. Nestor Sotero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Rioja having to interfere. Lorenzo Rioja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Sotero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th match minute, Quiroga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Mikelats to maneuver through the defense. Ceferino Reno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mel Raines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Lorenzo Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Gora lost his temper 38 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marines FC! Filomeno Handi shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Aldo Garin came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Quiroga's Ernesto Flor. But to his dismay, Ernesto Flor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Atarratze in the 45th minute of play forced Marines FC's goalkeeper Aldo Garin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Ceferino Reno took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Lorenzo Rioja to make any attempt to save it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Atarratze to strike the kick off in the second half. Mel Raines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Lorenzo Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filomeno Handi kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Lorenzo Rioja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Reno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ceferino Reno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Quiroga defense, Mel Raines kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lorenzo Rioja. The Quiroga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lorenzo Rioja should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Marines FC booed when Quiroga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Flor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Oliviero hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Lorenzo Rioja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mel Raines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marines FC's Aldo Garin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Marines FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Quiroga's Ernesto Flor got a free kick in the 77th minute. Mel Raines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Lorenzo Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aldo Garin made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Ernesto Flor sent off a good shot on target. Marco Atarratze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Garin having to interfere. With a little luck, Marines FC's Aldo Garin got control of the ball when Eusebio Azubeli tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aldo Garin made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Ernesto Flor sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute Marco Atarratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Garin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quiroga succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Marines FC had controlled the match.
