Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) River Plate's Luiz Gustavo Azevedo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arsenio Cordarrol's late challenge caught a Social Parque's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arsenio Cordarrol helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Social Parque booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Cordarrol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonel Maxin was a little too slow when Omar Rik got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Leonel Maxin was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Nestor Jurgi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nestor Jurgi really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The audience was convinced that Nestor Jurgi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonel Maxin was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Jurgi in the 20th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Leonel Maxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Rik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Leonel Maxin made a huge save. Leonel Maxin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omar Rik in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Arsenio Cordarrol got a free kick in the 29th minute. Omar Rik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonel Maxin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play.

In the 52nd minute, Lucio Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omar Rik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Nestor Jurgi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonel Maxin. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nestor Jurgi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Leonel Maxin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Jurgi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 65th minute of the match Arsenio Cordarrol completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Arsenio Cordarrol a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 68th minute, Omar Rik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Social Parque fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. If Omar Rik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. When the referee ended the match the Social Parque players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
