Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herminio Panpili to make the kick off. Herminio Panpili scored 1-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Fortun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Arnulfo Eriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Club Atletico Sempiterno's protests and gave Gaston Domiku a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Atletico Sempiterno getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gaston Domiku hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Sempiterno's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Eriz came free, but Damian Ospin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Primitivo Rocendo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Ospin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play.
