In the 8thth minute of the game Rosendo Napier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Encrucijada FC's Maximo Eriz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rosendo Napier did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Maximo Eriz 15 minutes into the match. After 18 played minutes Buenos Aires Galaxy got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Mattin. Rosendo Napier who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Maximo Eriz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Benitez in the 23rd minute of play forced Buenos Aires Galaxy's goalkeeper Justo Dacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Flavio Naike cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Justo Dacio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Encrucijada FC's Maximo Eriz got control of the ball when Rosendo Napier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alvaro Mattin lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Buenos Aires Galaxy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Horacio Gines shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Rosendo Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rosendo Napier might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximo Eriz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rosendo Napier ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivan Benitez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juan Roano struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Maximo Eriz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buenos Aires Galaxy. Buenos Aires Galaxy's Marcelino Dayam got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximo Eriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Napier in the 62nd minute of play. If Rosendo Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rosendo Napier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Juan Roano came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Buenos Aires Galaxy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Roano couldn't finish the play. After 74 played minutes Buenos Aires Galaxy got a freekick which was hit by Juan Roano. The Buenos Aires Galaxy fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Buenos Aires Galaxy's Rosendo Napier looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Justo Dacio made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Flavio Naike sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 86 minutes, Juan Roano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buenos Aires Galaxy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Roano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isaac Theodore's late challenge caught a Encrucijada FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaac Theodore helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Buenos Aires Galaxy's Isaac Theodore got a free kick in the 88th minute. Rosendo Napier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rosendo Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Isaac Theodore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
