Club Deportivo Mitre's Nereo Claude tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ventzislav Savov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nereo Claude read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes in the game, Ventzislav Savov fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nereo Claude having to interfere. If Ventzislav Savov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Mitre's Denis Manex got a free kick in the 39th minute. Ventzislav Savov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ventzislav Savov made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Gualeguay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Cesaro to maneuver through the defense. Fernan Ciceron hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Mitre's goal looked a bit too open when Ventzislav Savov came free, but Nereo Claude reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delmiro Maxin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Nereo Claude tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ventzislav Savov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nereo Claude having to make a save. Nereo Claude was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84thth minute of the game Ventzislav Savov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Deportivo Mitre's Nereo Claude was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Raimundo Nisio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gualeguay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Nisio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nereo Claude breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raimundo Nisio hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Ventzislav Savov might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nereo Claude. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ventzislav Savov ran back to his position shaking his head. 94 minutes into the match, Ventzislav Savov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nereo Claude. Club Deportivo Mitre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ventzislav Savov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. There was no doubt that Gualeguay FC were the better team. Gualeguay FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
