The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Guillelmo got free with Jurgis Dalbokas in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evelio Miliano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Loco having to interfere. Ventzislav Savov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Emiliano Loco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Raimundo Nisio came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Gualeguay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Nisio couldn't finish the play. Jurgis Dalbokas made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Tomas Guillelmo sent off a good shot on target. Ventzislav Savov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Emiliano Loco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmiro Maxin lost his temper 27 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 27th match minute, Gualeguay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmiro Maxin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Tiniebra in the 28th minute of play forced Gualeguay FC's goalkeeper Jurgis Dalbokas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes of play, Gualeguay FC's Lino Ederono made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emiliano Loco was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Lino Ederono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Raimundo Nisio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gualeguay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Nisio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Loco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rigoberto Cesaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Emiliano Loco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute Joel Hondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Loco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard, long distance shot from Raimundo Nisio flew over the goal. Raimundo Nisio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Sagrario in the 48th minute of play forced Gualeguay FC's goalkeeper Jurgis Dalbokas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Rafael Sagrario put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Jurgis Dalbokas. Raimundo Nisio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Lino Ederono stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Loco came out of the goal and Lino Ederono tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Rigoberto Cesaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Loco was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Raimundo Nisio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emiliano Loco. That made the score 1-5 in the 65 minute of play. Raimundo Nisio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Loco having to interfere. Raimundo Nisio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ventzislav Savov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rigoberto Cesaro struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Emiliano Loco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gualeguay FC. After having played for 87 minutes, Raimundo Nisio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gualeguay FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Nisio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gualeguay FC's Raimundo Nisio got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Joel Hondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Gualeguay FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Boca Juniors throughout the match.
