But to his dismay, Jonathan Weather quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Angelino Normando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Luzea in the 11th minute of the match. Ulises Monte took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelino Normando. Angelino Normando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Angelino Normando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Monte in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes in the game, João Augusto Cruz dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 23rd minute, Deportivo La Plata F.C's Alejo Abalos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jaime Oto. Jaime Oto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 31st minute of the match Jonathan Weather shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angelino Normando showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Diegote F.C El Regreso's Jaime Oto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejo Abalos in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute Jonathan Weather shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Normando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes Deportivo La Plata F.C got a freekick which was hit by Matias Oihan. After 47 played minutes Diegote F.C El Regreso got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Weather. Deportivo La Plata F.C's Sigvard Hegg was substituted for Alejo Abalos. Jonathan Weather kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The Deportivo La Plata F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Diegote F.C El Regreso were winning 1-2.

The supporters of Diegote F.C El Regreso booed when Deportivo La Plata F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Giro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Diegote F.C El Regreso's Jonathan Weather tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute Benicio Sergi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Oto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sigvard Hegg went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 75th minute, Sigvard Hegg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo La Plata F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. In the 80th minute, Ulises Monte made a precise shot to the right of Angelino Normando. Deportivo La Plata F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. In the 93rd match minute, Diegote F.C El Regreso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulises Monte to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigvard Hegg in the 96th minute of play forced Diegote F.C El Regreso's goalkeeper Jaime Oto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
