The ball went over the crossbar instead. 12 minutes into the game, one of NwCastle:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 17th play minute Eusebio Curcio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ovidio Kismi. 1-1. After some careless play in the NwCastle defense, Urbano Salvatore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benicio Bras. The NwCastle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benicio Bras should have stopped the shot. NwCastle's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Bernardino Pasqual scored to the left of an out of position Benicio Bras, making the score, 1-6. Benicio Bras was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
