After a defensive mix-up in San Adores's zone, Froilan Isias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Oravițan came out of the goal and Froilan Isias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Silvio Transito fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Adores's protests and gave Silvio Transito a yellow card for diving instead. Silvio Transito hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute of the match Severino Mancio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Arce skillfully saved the ball. After 29 played minutes San Adores got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Orkatz. Erasmo Pirro, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 31st minute Froilan Isias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Oravițan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rigoberto Feliu in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Arce saved Capillas from getting behind. In the 35th minute, San Adores's Santiago Čapo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 44 played minutes, Capillas's Pedro Gaskon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Octavian Oravițan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Capillas reached it. Marcos Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigoberto Feliu in the 46th minute of the match. Capillas's Silvio Valiente got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Froilan Isias made the kick off in the second half. Rigoberto Feliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Arce having to interfere. Marcos Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Čapo, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Froilan Isias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Rigoberto Feliu managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Adores's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Feliu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Arce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Rolando Peruanton fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Adores's goalkeeper Octavian Oravițan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
