With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benigno Pasqual prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the match, Leandro. N. Alem's goalkeeper Benigno Pasqual had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcial Maties. After 18 played minutes Leandro. N. Alem got a freekick which was hit by Mats Larsson. The supporters of Left Coast Punk booed when Leandro. N. Alem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Chale didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Erubiel Ikatz came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Left Coast Punk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erubiel Ikatz couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Left Coast Punk booed when Leandro. N. Alem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Walme didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 28 played minutes Left Coast Punk got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Maties. Maximo Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albano Reno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Erubiel Ikatz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 42 minutes, Erubiel Ikatz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Left Coast Punk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erubiel Ikatz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcial Maties to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Reno in the 52nd minute of play forced Left Coast Punk's goalkeeper Maximo Faro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Albano Reno made a precise shot to the right of Maximo Faro. Left Coast Punk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcial Maties in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Marcial Maties fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Pasqual having to interfere. Maximo Faro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Albano Reno showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 73 minute of play. Left Coast Punk's Maximo Faro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Left Coast Punk from getting a goal against them. Maximo Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albano Reno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Left Coast Punk's Marcial Maties sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benigno Pasqual narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alem's Albano Reno made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximo Faro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 97th minute Albano Reno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Left Coast Punk manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Leandro. N. Alem to win.
