CHERNÓBIL FUTBOL CLUB's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Muc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braulio Papo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wit Polakowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Abar, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Herminio Bonifaco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wit Polakowski having to interfere. A collision led to Saturno FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ambrosio Dodorol hit a great ball. When Ismael Rioja came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the CHERNÓBIL FUTBOL CLUB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Rioja couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Esteban Xabier took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Braulio Papo to make any attempt to save it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ismael Rioja was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Edgardo Otsoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CHERNÓBIL FUTBOL CLUB and the Saturno FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Braulio Papo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Rioja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in CHERNÓBIL FUTBOL CLUB's zone, Herminio Bonifaco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wit Polakowski came out of the goal and Herminio Bonifaco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, CHERNÓBIL FUTBOL CLUB's Wit Polakowski got control of the ball when Emiliano Abar tried to sneak it across the goal line.
