In the 17th minute, Hugo Frasquito made a precise shot to the right of Enrique Mano. James Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Enrique Mano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Abadie in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th minute Isaac Berasko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Mano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicolas Lordi was the one to do the kick off. With 57 minutes on the clock, Albano Gabrio commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to James Team getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Albano Gabrio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in James Team's zone, Ismael Macias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Mano came out of the goal and Ismael Macias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rosendo Lluques kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Enrique Mano was a little too slow when Hugo Frasquito got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 0-3. If Isaac Berasko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Macias kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Enrique Mano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Berasko, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as CA Velez Sarsfield's Hugo Frasquito slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enrique Mano. That made the score 0-5 after 87 minutes of play. The James Team fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CA Velez Sarsfield were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
