The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Bortzaioriz in the 3rd minute of play forced Oratorio's goalkeeper Arlindo Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Oratorio's protests and gave Herminio Martxot a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Oratorio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Martxot to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Oratorio's Gaspar Leguizamón got a free kick in the 45th minute. Oratorio's Arlindo Tróia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Oratorio from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salvador Bortzaioriz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Natalio Eztebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Tróia having to interfere. A collision led to Oratorio getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Romeo Cresencio hit a great ball. Arlindo Tróia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvador Bortzaioriz's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. After having played for 66 minutes, Natalio Eztebe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caseros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natalio Eztebe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaston Corderun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Bortzaioriz in the 76th minute of play forced Oratorio's goalkeeper Arlindo Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Natalio Eztebe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caseros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 81st minute, Salvador Bortzaioriz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Salvador Bortzaioriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Tróia having to interfere. After 90 minutes, Leonardo Ricart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oratorio and the Caseros players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Oratorio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Ricart to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Oratorio's zone, Gaston Corderun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arlindo Tróia came out of the goal and Gaston Corderun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arlindo Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Bortzaioriz in the 93rd minute of play. A collision led to Oratorio getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Cipriano Locaio hit a great ball. There was no doubt that Caseros were the better team. Caseros's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
