The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maksymilian Anszczak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Rigoberto Jakue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Guillermo Burdisso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rigoberto Jakue. Escobar Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guillermo Burdisso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Escobar Fc's goalkeeper Rigoberto Jakue, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rigoberto Jakue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chafik Rebbab, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Maksymilian Anszczak took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rigoberto Jakue. Rigoberto Jakue dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rigoberto Jakue came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Gimnasia Pasión's Guillermo Burdisso. But to his dismay, Guillermo Burdisso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. If Maksymilian Anszczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Maksymilian Anszczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Jakue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Escobar Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Llope came free, but Rigoberto Jakue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gimnasia Pasión's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ezequiel Abadie in the 24th minute. After taking down the ball on Gimnasia Pasión's corner Ezequiel Abadie fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rigoberto Jakue quite easily take care of the ball. Gimnasia Pasión's Maksymilian Anszczak got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vinicio Kelemen struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Rigoberto Jakue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimnasia Pasión. After 30 minutes, Maksymilian Anszczak made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Escobar Fc's Rigoberto Jakue tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Chafik Rebbab's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rigoberto Jakue was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Maksymilian Anszczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinicio Kelemen struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. The audience was convinced that Maksymilian Anszczak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rigoberto Jakue was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. When Ariel Llope came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Gimnasia Pasión fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ariel Llope couldn't finish the play. 49 minutes into the match, Escobar Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Maksymilian Anszczak came free, but Rigoberto Jakue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maksymilian Anszczak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Escobar Fc's Rigoberto Jakue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Abadie in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Maksymilian Anszczak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rigoberto Jakue. Maksymilian Anszczak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. 62 minutes into the match, Escobar Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Maksymilian Anszczak came free, but Rigoberto Jakue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Escobar Fc's Rigoberto Jakue proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Escobar Fc from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Abadie got free with Rigoberto Jakue in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pablo Eneas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guillermo Burdisso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rigoberto Jakue came out and tried to block the shot, but Guillermo Burdisso slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 76th minute. The Gimnasia Pasión fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Gimnasia Pasión's Maksymilian Anszczak looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Escobar Fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Chafik Rebbab scored to the left of an out of position Rigoberto Jakue, making the score, 0-9. Maksymilian Anszczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maksymilian Anszczak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rigoberto Jakue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Pablo Eneas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Maksymilian Anszczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rigoberto Jakue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maksymilian Anszczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. A collision led to Escobar Fc getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Mario Tavio hit a great ball. Chafik Rebbab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gimnasia Pasión played a much better game than Escobar Fc and deserved their victory. The Escobar Fc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
