With a little luck, Atlético Matorrales's Benedicto Vedillo got control of the ball when Fernan Aurken tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Leonides Txema had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedicto Vedillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lúcio Vides's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Atlético Matorrales's Benedicto Vedillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Vides in the 38th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match, Lúcio Vides tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benedicto Vedillo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Benedicto Vedillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The referee ignored Atlético Matorrales's protests and gave Placido Ticho a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atlético Matorrales! Benedicto Vedillo went to the wrong direction when Rolando Milian was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Lúcio Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Benedicto Vedillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernan Aurken struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Benedicto Vedillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pampero FC. 76 minutes into the game, Nemesio Perico cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Benedicto Vedillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Radowit Flis's late challenge caught a Atlético Matorrales's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radowit Flis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pampero FC's Radowit Flis got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Matorrales's goalkeeper Benedicto Vedillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Fernan Aurken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pampero FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernan Aurken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedicto Vedillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benedicto Vedillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernan Aurken in the 93rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pampero FC had won after a very even match.
