In the 16th match minute, Bhutan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Garikoitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Reynaldo Balasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Ulizes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Chasicó's Reynaldo Balasi in 23 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Gustavo Ulizes guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Cesar Rami stood somewhat misplaced when Amador Burni came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 30 minute. The Chasicó fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Chasicó's Isidoro Benvido looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 37 minutes, Reynaldo Balasi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chasicó's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Balasi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Bhutan's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Balasi came free, but Gustavo Ulizes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Reynaldo Balasi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Chasicó's Iker Restu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bhutan. Amador Burni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Cesar Rami tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidoro Benvido came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gustavo Ulizes could save by the left post. Bhutan's Gustavo Ulizes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Bhutan from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Amador Burni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesar Rami was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. When Cristo Rudolfo fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chasicó's protests and gave Cristo Rudolfo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bhutan booed when Chasicó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Rudolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
