DEFENSORES DE OLIVOS's Gaudencio Ortle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Firme in the 16th minute of play. Gaudencio Ortle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Rufo in the 17th minute of the match. Gaudencio Ortle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Bermudez in the 19th minute of play. Luis Urko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Barrionuevo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Carmelo Llorenc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luis Urko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carmelo Llorenc's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Gaudencio Ortle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Ayala in the 36th minute of play. River Plate's Luis Urko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Llorenc in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leon Bermudez made a kick off. After 50 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Rufo. Gaudencio Ortle came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Leon Bermudez. But to his dismay, Leon Bermudez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 59th minute Carmelo Llorenc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Urko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DEFENSORES DE OLIVOS's Pedro Barrionuevo got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Osvaldo Vimaro kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Carmelo Llorenc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Luis Urko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor Rufo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Gaudencio Ortle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of River Plate booed when DEFENSORES DE OLIVOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Muno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Artemio Ayala managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Artemio Ayala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Ortle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Galeno in the 79th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Luis Urko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Carmelo Llorenc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Luis Urko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gaudencio Ortle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artemio Ayala in the 84th minute. River Plate's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Humberto Santikurtz in the 85th minute. Pedro Barrionuevo hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Humberto Santikurtz sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and DEFENSORES DE OLIVOS's Gaudencio Ortle didn't even have to move. Luis Urko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carmelo Llorenc went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. DEFENSORES DE OLIVOS had won after a very even match.
