In the 10th minute, Elia Pedrelli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chilecito FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Timoteo Montay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Lapurdi having to interfere. If Elia Pedrelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chañar AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chilecito FC the free kick. Lino Silbestre kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Chañar AFC booed when Chilecito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Blasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elia Pedrelli scored 3-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Lapurdi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chilecito FC's Alan Saa managed to work through Chañar AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Alan Saa dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Gustavo Lapurdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Montay, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timoteo Montay to make the kick off. Chañar AFC's Gustavo Lapurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Montay in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Timoteo Montay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Lapurdi. Chañar AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timoteo Montay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 59th match minute, Chañar AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Loi to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Timoteo Montay made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Lapurdi. Chañar AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 65th minute of the game, Raimundo Txaran landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 66 played minutes Chañar AFC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Sagrario. 69 minutes into the game, Adolfo Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chañar AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chilecito FC the free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ladislao Heriberto during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Timoteo Montay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chilecito FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Montay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Lapurdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Chilecito FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
