The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Honorato Felo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Kelemen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of NILULUC FC booed when Pedernales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Sagrario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Tadzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Cayetano Luix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cayetano Luix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Egoi in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pedernales FC's zone, Carmelo Santxol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Luix came out of the goal and Carmelo Santxol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Adolfo Tadzio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Honorato Felo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmacio Amato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Francisco Kelemen came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Pedernales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Kelemen couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Pedernales FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tadeo Chap hit a great ball. Adolfo Tadzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cayetano Luix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Claus struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Honorato Felo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pedernales FC. In the 28th minute Dalmacio Amato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Felo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Egoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Luix having to interfere. Honorato Felo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Kelemen in the 41st minute of the match. Cayetano Luix was a little too slow when Adolfo Tadzio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dalmacio Amato to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, NILULUC FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko Quaresma to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind NILULUC FC's goalkeeper Honorato Felo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Francisco Kelemen notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of NILULUC FC's Honorato Felo. Honorato Felo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute Dalmacio Amato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Felo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danilo Mateo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Francisco Kelemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cayetano Luix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Egoi in the 73rd minute of the match. Cayetano Luix came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by NILULUC FC's Arnaldo Egoi. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Egoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 76th minute, Carmelo Santxol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Kelemen got free with Honorato Felo in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Carmelo Santxol came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the NILULUC FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Santxol couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, NILULUC FC's Honorato Felo got control of the ball when Francisco Kelemen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Honorato Felo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmacio Amato in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, NILULUC FC's goalkeeper Honorato Felo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Kelemen. Pedernales FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
