Winterfell's Haroldo Feo got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adolfo Rumaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Nahia in the 6th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Salvador Maidana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabricio Deunoro was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, Winterfell's goalkeeper Fabricio Deunoro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justino Omero. After a rather tough play, Cafayete AFC's Justino Omero got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 34th minute, Winterfell's Hipolito Abascal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hipolito Abascal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Winterfell protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hipolito Abascal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 34 minutes into the game, one of Winterfell:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 39 minutes into the match, Ramiro Amato notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cafayete AFC's Adolfo Rumaldo. Adolfo Rumaldo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cafayete AFC's Adolfo Rumaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Nahia in the 43rd minute of play. Adolfo Rumaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatan Nahia, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonatan Nahia made a kick off. Jonatan Nahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Rumaldo having to interfere. If Jonatan Nahia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 56 minutes, Jonatan Nahia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Winterfell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Nahia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jonatan Nahia came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Winterfell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonatan Nahia couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Cafayete AFC's Anier Danel got a free kick in the 64th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Winterfell's Venancio Nicholas tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Winterfell's Celestino Jatsu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Adolfo Rumaldo. Adolfo Rumaldo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Adolfo Rumaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Nahia in the 71st minute of play. In the 78th minute, Winterfell's Jonatan Nahia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. When Celestino Jatsu came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Winterfell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celestino Jatsu couldn't finish the play. Jonatan Nahia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Rumaldo having to make a save. Wilfredo Bermudo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute Winterfell were awarded a corner. Venancio Nicholas went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Jonatan Nahia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Winterfell's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonatan Nahia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Rumaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Winterfell players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
