Gualterio Firmin was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Rene Casomiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rene Casomiro really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The supporters of Los Rengos FC booed when Barreal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Truylos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Francisco Corderall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barreal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Los Rengos FC.
