The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gualterio Firmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Hondo in the 3rd minute of play. Gualterio Firmin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Hondo in the 9th minute of the match. Elpidio Innocenzio kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Barreal's Francisco Corderall got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Piquillín AFC's goalkeeper Maximino Belmiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rene Quilino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Muc in the 27th minute of play forced Barreal's goalkeeper Gualterio Firmin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximino Belmiro made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Rene Quilino sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes into the match, Aureliano Udalaitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gualterio Firmin. Barreal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aureliano Udalaitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Marco Montay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Piquillín AFC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Igor Oroitz hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Barreal's Eustaquio Indalecio pulled a muscle in his back after 56 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 56th minute of the match Marco Montay completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marco Montay a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Barreal's Amador Gutxi was substituted for Eustaquio Indalecio. Marco Montay hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Rene Quilino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rene Quilino in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximino Belmiro saved Piquillín AFC from getting behind. Amador Gutxi charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amador Gutxi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Barreal's Amador Gutxi got a free kick in the 66th minute. Maximino Belmiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Corderall, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 78th match minute, Piquillín AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Innocenzio to maneuver through the defense. Lorenzo Fernandes hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Lorenzo Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Corderall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Maximino Belmiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenzo Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Piquillín AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
