Aureliano Macias's late challenge caught a Recreativo Las Petacas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aureliano Macias helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Sunampa AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Macias. Gaston Lordi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, one of Recreativo Las Petacas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Recreativo Las Petacas. Fausto Janpier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Manuelo having to make a save. The supporters of Recreativo Las Petacas booed when Sunampa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Calvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raul Gaxan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gregorio Medardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The Sunampa AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
