In the 13th minute, one of Hornillos AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hornillos AFC. Alejandro Gai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Gerardo Poz made a huge save. Roman Valentine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Stasio Beninda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alejandro Gai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Hornillos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Valentine came free, but Stasio Beninda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Ignacio Locaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Constantino Paio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Concepción AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Paio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stasio Beninda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roman Valentine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejandro Gai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Llope hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If German Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 58 minutes, Alejandro Gai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hornillos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Gai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Hornillos AFC's Israel Firman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerardo Poz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stasio Beninda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Paio in the 64th minute of the match. Concepción AFC's Gerardo Poz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Gai in the 66th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Alejandro Gai made a precise shot to the right of Gerardo Poz. Concepción AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Concepción AFC's Constantino Paio got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute Osvaldo Calixto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Poz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Concepción AFC booed when Hornillos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Firman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Israel Firman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerardo Poz. Concepción AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Israel Firman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After having played for 97 minutes, Roman Valentine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Concepción AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Valentine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Many of Concepción AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Concepción AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Hornillos AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
