The Dep.Futbol Total fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Faustino Obano should have stopped the shot. Isidoro Flores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Sotil, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After 16th play minutes Diego Milito shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Faustino Obano and just under the crossbar into goal. Diego Milito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abel Venerando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jean Duflos hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Abel Venerando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Diego Milito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 43 minutes, Lisandro Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Tokyo United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lisandro Mendez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicasio Froylan's late challenge caught a East Tokyo United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Celedonio Fernado to strike the kick off in the second half. Abel Venerando struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Isidoro Flores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dep.Futbol Total. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Abel Venerando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dep.Futbol Total's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Venerando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidoro Flores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. East Tokyo United's Isidoro Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Fernado in the 60th minute of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Celedonio Fernado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dep.Futbol Total's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celedonio Fernado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isidoro Flores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Fernado in the 71st minute of play. Abel Venerando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Isidoro Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Artemio Frasco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Faustino Obano was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Faustino Obano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Phelipe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Cerilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st match minute, East Tokyo United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Menem to maneuver through the defense. Ottó Lengyel kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. East Tokyo United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
